But This movie is HORRIBLE for children 13 and younger.Should of been given a PG 13 rating, hate to say it because i usually love ALL of disney's movies. Characters drink root beer FROM BEER MUGS in a game called TAPPERS. In one scene a character pours himself a MARTINI. One character DOES die, which can be very upsetting and disturbing, considering my 5 year old niece cried although that character does regenerate because its in his own game. Cautionary tales about characters' deaths (if a character dies in a game outside of their own, they can't regenerate) and homelessness (games that are put out of order) made my niece upset and tear up. 2 Characters BEAT up eachother to make laffy taffy vines LAUGH. They Say Bad Words Like "Butt", "Buttload", "Moron", "Dootie" & "Numbskull", i also believe in one part a Character LITERALLY swears. Innocent Looking Children DESTROY Something That Another Character Likes. Ralph Beats On A Child, Named Vanellope Von Schweetz. She finds a way to channel her "defectiveness" as a game "glitch" into something positive.Ģ Characters Kiss, TWICE. In a game that's stereotypically girly, she challenges the status quo. Despite her potty-mouth insults, Vanellope is a spunky, clever, and determined character. He doesn't let his official "bad guy" status overshadow the qualities that make him good: He's kind, resourceful, and sticks up for the underdog. Characters also discover the importance of walking a mile in someone else's shoes before judging them Themes of inclusivity/exclusivity and selflessness/selfishness are woven throughout the story in many ways and the role model is that Ralph's quest for peer approval turns into a journey about becoming proud of who he is and what he's able to contribute. Wreck-It Ralph is a good kid friendly movie that's perfect for your young kids to see it has all the cartoon characters from the video game franchise and food products that are familiar and parents the only few things that you need to worry about are the mild cartoon violence and some social drinking that are used by the cartoon characters such as martini and root beer and the consumerism are the Iconic video game characters like Pac-Man, Bowser, and Sonic the Hedgehog make cameo appearances there are also many references to candy brands but overall this cartoon adventure flick does have a strong message about identity, compassion, loyalty, and challenging the status quo like for example Characters learn to embrace the way they're programmed, rather than change themselves for others.
